Chapter 176: So Handsome

Shen Mo was talking with the others. To avoid arousing their suspicion, he adopted a casual and relaxed posture. His figure, however, remained straight and tall, standing out among the crowd like a pine tree, exuding strength in his silence.

Bai Youwei, watching him, couldn't help but think how handsome he was.

She stretched out her hands, framing him in the distance as if through a camera lens.

His profile was handsome and resolute. Standing amongst the group, his bearing appeared even more distinguished.

The more she looked, the more she liked what she saw.

As if sensing her gaze, Shen Mo turned his head slightly.

Their eyes met, and her heart skipped a beat. She winked at him playfully.

She saw his lips move, silently saying something, before he turned back to continue his conversation.

Bai Youwei understood.

He had said two words: "Don't mess around."

Bai Youwei cupped her chin in her hand and sighed to herself, "Even when he's scolding someone, he's so handsome…"

"Weiwei, do you think they'll be alright…?" Teacher Cheng worried beside her, feeling that the other group didn't look friendly.

Bai Youwei, still immersed in her admiration, murmured, "It doesn't matter if something happens… He'll probably look even more handsome when he fights…"

Teacher Cheng: "???"

The conversation lasted only two or three minutes before Shen Mo and Tan Xiao returned and got into the car.

Teacher Cheng hurriedly asked, "How is it? What's the situation in Hangzhou now?"

"Similar to Yangzhou. Many people didn't wait for the rescue team, and the roads out of the city aren't safe, so they stayed," Shen Mo explained. "They believe the area near the fog is the safest because games rarely appear there. So, they only need to ensure they have enough food and water to survive. Of course, this is assuming the fog doesn't expand. If the fog's range increases, their living space will be further compressed."

Bai Youwei asked, "Then how many people are in Hangzhou now?"

"I'm not sure," Shen Mo shook his head slightly. "Without electricity or internet, everyone is confined to specific areas. They occasionally encounter people from other districts, but no one has made a serious effort to count."

Bai Youwei thought for a moment and then asked, "Why were those people so scared when they saw our car? Has something happened in the city?"

"They're probably afraid we'll rob them," Tan Xiao interjected. "They said some people, unable to find food, resort to robbing others. There are also some who specifically target props."

Bai Youwei blinked. "How do they know if someone has a prop?"

"Yeah, how do they know?" Tan Xiao slapped his forehead in frustration. "I forgot to ask. Should I go back and ask them?"

Shen Mo gently shook his head. "Props often look like toys. At a time like this, anyone carrying a toy is undoubtedly carrying a prop. Also, they can ambush people near game areas. If someone comes out of a game and lets their guard down, the chances of a successful sneak attack are high."

Lost in thought, Bai Youwei touched her bag and said, "I wonder if anyone will try to rob me."

Tan Xiao, observing her expression, asked curiously, "Weiwei, why do you seem a little… hopeful?"

Bai Youwei glared at him fiercely. "Why aren't you calling me Sister?!"

Tan Xiao choked, replying sullenly, "Sister, looking at your face, I really can't bring myself to say it…"

Bai Youwei looked too young.

Fair and delicate, with wide, glaring eyes, she resembled a little princess throwing a tantrum.

Bai Youwei glared at him for a moment, then her eyes darted around. Surprisingly, she didn't lose her temper. Instead, she said proudly, "Forget it, I won't argue with you. Just consider it a compliment on my youthfulness."

Tan Xiao nodded. "You are very young."

"Men all like young women, right?" Bai Youwei asked with a sweet smile.
