Chapter 255: Magical or Not?

Ten people, excluding the mobility-impaired Bai Youwei, all started searching the house. The house was crammed with countless dolls, making the search relatively easy. They quickly unearthed a mountain of toy bears of every color, material, and shape imaginable—big, small, fat, thin, some wearing pants, others sporting hats. They had it all.

"Look at this one! It's the same as the bear outside!" Zhu Shu pulled a bear from the pile. It was a brown teddy bear with a bow tie sewn around its neck, identical to the one worn by the bear outside. Both had a bright red background dotted with black circles.

"The Spring Bear woke up and is anxious about losing its two children… There should be one more bear like this." Yan Qingwen frowned. "Everyone, keep looking. See if you can find another teddy bear with a red and black polka-dotted bow tie."

Everyone busily searched for the bear. Drawers, wardrobes, cupboards, storage boxes, under the bed, behind the door, in the attic—even the fireplace chimney was not spared!

They found all sorts of bears, but none with a red and black polka-dotted bow tie!

"Brother Yan, these are all the bears we could find."

"Could we be wrong? Maybe it doesn't necessarily have to have a bow tie?"

"But there are more than forty bears without bow ties. That's too broad a range; we can't be sure."

"What about the ones with bow ties? There are ones with blue bows, black bows, pink bows…"

"That's still more than a dozen…"

"We've searched everywhere we can. What do we do now?"

Everyone discussed the situation, examining the found teddy bears over and over again.

Bai Youwei, with nothing to do, wheeled herself to the window to look at the bear outside.

The bear was still there.

It squatted motionless by the door, its massive, burly body like a mountain of flesh.

If such a beast were to go berserk, not only people, but even the house itself would likely suffer severe damage. Fortunately, it wasn't coming in right now, giving them ample time to prepare.

Just as the Overseer had said, no one could enter without the dollhouse owner's permission.

The dollhouse owner…

Bai Youwei pondered, finding this setting rather interesting.

Shen Mo came downstairs empty-handed, having found nothing.

He walked over, took a drink of water, and looked out the window. "Eight hours per season. Spring, summer, and autumn make 24 hours, a whole day. But we can't spend the entire day searching for things. There's no food here. The more time we waste, the worse it will be for us."

"We've just started. Take it easy," Bai Youwei said nonchalantly, gazing at the bear.

Sitting in her wheelchair, her limited mobility meant she couldn't contribute to the search.

"Brother Yan! Look at this!" Li Li suddenly yelled from upstairs.

The people downstairs looked up and saw Li Li running down the stairs, holding a model pirate ship. Tan Xiao and Cheng Weicai followed behind him.

The model ship was about the length of an adult's forearm. Inside were tiny skulls the size of a pinky fingernail, along with intricately painted wooden food and jewels. It looked remarkably realistic.

"This must be the treasure, right?" Li Li placed the model ship on the dining room table, panting. "When the summer guests arrive, this thing will come in handy."

Yan Qingwen looked at the model ship, nodded slightly, and asked, "Who found it?"

"I…" Li Li's expression became a little uneasy. He glanced to the side. "…and Tan Xiao."

Tan Xiao, without thinking too much, said directly, "We were looking for the bear in the attic and found a huge whale plushie! When we picked it up, it felt really heavy! Plush toys shouldn't be that heavy, so we cut open its belly! Wow~ Inside, besides the stuffing, there was this huge ship! Tell me, isn't that magical?"
