Chapter 59: Get Out

The phone wasn't locked. Bai Youwei opened it and saw the video folder.

She clicked on the video. It was shaky at first, but then her own figure appeared. She looked like a frightened quail, pitifully saying, "Don't come over here! Don't come over here…"

Shen Mo didn't understand what was so special about watching this again.

The video kept playing, and she kept watching.

Shen Mo didn't watch the video. He watched Bai Youwei's reaction.

After a while, Cheng Teacher's voice came from the phone… A moment later, Tan Xiao appeared, and then they started fighting.

During the chaos, the phone was thrown to the side, but it was still recording. The picture was messy, but the sound was very clear.

Brother Hui said, "She's just a cripple, not even a real woman… This kind of goods is only fun for a little while. If you really gave her to me, I would be disgusted!"

Bai Youwei's face turned completely gloomy!

Her fingers holding the phone turned white, her eyes fixed on the screen, even though it didn't capture Brother Hui's face.

Shen Mo frowned, reached out to grab the phone, quickly deleted the video, and threw the phone aside.

"Get some rest. We'll leave first thing tomorrow morning," he said.

Bai Youwei lowered her head and mumbled something.

"What?" Shen Mo asked.

Bai Youwei raised her small face, revealing a smile without a trace of warmth. "I said, I'm not satisfied."

Shen Mo frowned even more deeply.

"He died too easily. It's not satisfying at all," Bai Youwei said.

Shen Mo got up to leave. Their relationship had just eased, and he didn't want to argue with her again because of a careless word.

"Shen Mo," Bai Youwei called out to him. "…Can you stay tonight? I'm scared to be alone."

Shen Mo was speechless.

He understood her implication and was certain that he had not misunderstood her.

Because she was this crazy, willing to risk everything just to spite someone.

Shen Mo took a deep breath, then looked at Bai Youwei with calm eyes, his tone equally flat. "Go to sleep. You don't need to take other people's words to heart."

After speaking, he turned and pulled the door open.

Bai Youwei spoke again. "Shen Mo, help me up."

Shen Mo's footsteps stopped. He paused for a second, then resignedly walked back to the bedside, supporting her back to help her sit up.

Bai Youwei propped herself up with her hand, as if she had no strength, and leaned softly against Shen Mo's chest.

Shen Mo stiffened.

Bai Youwei didn't move, nestled in his arms. The man's chest and arms surrounded her. The smell of sweat, smoke, and the fresh scent of rain mixed together, not pleasant, but she didn't hate it.

She stretched out her hands and wrapped them around his waist. His taut waist was hard, but also warm.

Shen Mo wanted to pull her away but found her grip tightening.

"Bai Youwei," Shen Mo inhaled. "Don't be crazy."

"You think I'm disgusting too?" She raised her head from his arms, her face calm and undisturbed. "But I'm not happy right now. If you stay tonight, I'll feel better."

Shen Mo looked at her silently. She didn't back down, staring back at him quietly. Her clear pupils seemed emotionless, but revealed a certain persistence, as if to prove something. She would rather put down her pride and not even know what shame was.

Shen Mo's hand gently covered hers, pinching her fingers.

Bai Youwei's eyes reddened in front of him.

He was not soft-hearted. He pried her fingers apart one by one with a firm attitude…

When he reached the last two fingers, Bai Youwei suddenly withdrew her hand and let go of him.

She lowered her head, sitting in the shadows, and coldly spat out a word from her throat:

"Get out."

Shen Mo turned and left.

It was a difficult walk, but his steps were resolute and decisive, without a trace of hesitation.
