Chapter 306: Excited?

After registering, Shen Fei took them to their accommodations. It looked like an ordinary residential complex. At the entrance, they even saw several people moving luggage, apparently just moving in.

Shen Fei introduced, "This area was recently renovated into a residential zone. There are people living in each building, but not many. Regulations state that no more than five people can live in each building, so most residents are families."

They asked as they walked, "The limit of five people is to disperse the population density?"

"Yes. Not only is there a limit on the number of residents, but there's also a limit on the number of people going out. There are traffic coordinators on every road, and large gatherings of people in one place are strictly prohibited."

Shen Fei stopped, took out his key to open a door, and explained amiably, "It's not easy for the city to maintain its current state, so I hope everyone understands and abides by the rules."

The door opened to a three-bedroom apartment with exquisite decorations and furnishings that reflected the original owner's bourgeois taste.

"There's another apartment in Building 6, also a three-bedroom with a similar layout, but it's on the other side of the complex, about a hundred meters away. Who wants to go over there?" Shen Fei asked.

It seemed they were serious about dispersing the population density. They weren't even comfortable with just five people per building, and even the buildings had to be more than a hundred meters apart.

Bai Youwei didn't want to move again, so she chose the three-bedroom here. Shen Mo, Teacher Cheng, and Pan Xiaoxin brought in the luggage together.

Although Tan Xiao had woken up from his coma, his injuries hadn't healed, so he sat weakly on the sofa, unable to do any physical labor.

Shen Fei silently counted the people.

Bai Youwei and the child could sleep in one room, and the heavily injured man on the sofa definitely needed a bed to himself, so Shen Mo would have to share a bed with the old man.

He couldn't help but sigh inwardly. His cousin could have stayed with his uncle; wouldn't having his own room be more comfortable than sharing with an old man?

But then he thought about it. Among all his siblings, this cousin had always been the most responsible and dependable, so it wasn't surprising that he chose to stay and take care of these people.

Shen Fei watched Shen Mo carrying luggage in and out, and couldn't help but say, "If there aren't enough rooms, I can help you open another one. Don't worry, there are few people in the city now, so there are plenty of places to live. You just need to fill out an application form at the registration office…"

"No need," Shen Mo interrupted. "We have enough room here."

Shen Mo looked at Yan Qingwen. "Do you need extra rooms?"

Yan Qingwen also shook his head and replied, "No, Su Man and Li Li's families are in Shanghai. They'll be staying with them. That leaves the three of us, so we have plenty of room."

"Okay, I'll take you to your place," Shen Fei said, turning to Shen Mo. "Brother, I'll take them over first, then I'll take you to see Uncle later."

Shen Mo nodded faintly. "Okay."

The two groups separated, leaving the five of them in the apartment.

Teacher Cheng helped Tan Xiao to the bed to rest, then he and Pan Xiaoxin packed their luggage and tidied up the room.

Shen Mo led Bai Youwei around the apartment, showing her the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Just like Shen Fei said, it was pretty good here, except for the lack of electricity.

Shen Mo opened the refrigerator and looked inside. "The appliances are all new, probably bought recently. Should we move them into the toy house? There's no electricity here, so they're just for show."

"Let's move them tonight," Bai Youwei said casually, then glanced at the expression on his face. "You're about to see your father, but you don't seem excited at all."

Shen Mo was slightly taken aback and looked at her. "What about you? If you see my father, you'll probably see your mother too. Aren't you excited?"

Bai Youwei yawned, looking languid. "I'm excited."
