Chapter 110: Can We Go Faster?

They returned to the starting point and saw several puppets standing nearby.

The puppets moved slowly and didn't seem to want to attack them. However, the sight of them standing there, watching them motionlessly, was terrifying enough.

Bai Youwei asked everyone to take their luggage.

Everyone did as they were told.

There wasn't much to take. Most of their things were supplies gathered from the maze, which weren't essential. They were now desperate to get out, so they couldn't be bothered with meticulous packing.

Chen Hui found a woman's wallet in Tu Dan's tent. Inside were Tu Dan's ID card, bank card, house key, and a family photo.

In the photo, Tu Dan was smiling warmly, her son and husband on either side of her.

Chen Hui looked at it for a while, then put the wallet in her arms and walked out of the tent with her backpack on.

Outside, Zhang Tianyang and his classmates were tearing the paper off the mirrors.

"What's wrong?" Chen Hui walked over and asked.

"I don't know…" Zhang Tianyang's expression was hard to describe. He glanced at Bai Youwei, who was not far away. "She wants us to tear off all the paper on the mirrors."

Chen Hui frowned and said, "But that's dangerous."

"Of course, I know…"

Before he could finish speaking, a hand reached out from the mirror where he had torn off half the paper! Chen Hui quickly pushed Zhang Tianyang away!

The puppet in the mirror remained frozen with its hand outstretched.

Chen Hui: "Be careful."

Zhang Tianyang wiped the cold sweat off his forehead. "…Thank you."

Several people worked together and quickly tore off all the paper on the surrounding mirrors.

Each mirror reflected their puppets. Looking around, there were countless puppets…

"They're coming out…" a student said, his voice trembling as he backed away.

Everyone retreated to the same spot, back to back, watching vigilantly as the puppets in the surrounding mirrors gradually approached. Some stretched out a hand, some leaned out half their bodies, and some were still in the mirrors, eager to come out.

Shen Mo held onto the wheelchair and asked Bai Youwei, "How confident are you?"

"I was 50% sure." She glanced at the surrounding puppets and said, "…Now, I'm 80% sure."

Shen Mo was surprised. He looked down at her, and then he felt that it was within his expectations.

Because that's just how she was.

She was not only intelligent, but her way of thinking always seemed to inexplicably coincide with the game. This was something Shen Mo couldn't compare to.

"Let's go." Bai Youwei moved the wheelchair herself and waved her hand slightly. "No need to push me. Just follow behind me and don't take any unnecessary steps."

She wheeled herself to the front, with the others following behind.

Behind them were the slow-moving puppets…

Bai Youwei was in a wheelchair and didn't move fast either. Sometimes she would even stop and ask others to tear off the posters on both sides of the wall.

This made their progress even slower.

Zhang Tianyang watched as the puppets got closer and closer, his heart pounding with fear.

Because Bai Youwei kept asking them to tear off the posters, revealing the mirrors, and the mirrors reflected more puppets, the number of puppets following them was multiplying!

When they reached the next intersection, Bai Youwei stopped again.

Zhang Tianyang was going crazy and asked nervously, "Can we… can we go faster?"

The others didn't say anything but looked at Bai Youwei with pleading eyes: Can we go faster? Can we?

"No," Bai Youwei replied coldly.

Everyone: "…"

Bai Youwei looked at the map in her hand, observed the surroundings of the intersection, and said calmly, "We can't go any faster. I have to make sure that every step we take is within the range of the mirrors. Otherwise, we'll have to go back and start again."

Go back again?

Everyone looked behind them with pale faces.

The dense crowd of puppets almost completely blocked the passage behind them, and new puppets were still emerging from the mirrors.

Everyone said, "Let's go slow! It's better to go slow!"

They just hoped they wouldn't go the wrong way!
