Chapter 390: Bai Youwei's Situation

It was already very late when he returned.

Shen Mo opened the door, and the living room was lit.

A candle sat on the coffee table, burned almost to the end. The flame resembled a little monster tethered by the wick, leaping incessantly, yet unable to escape.

Bai Youwei sat on the sofa, wearing a white nightgown, her long black hair loose. She glared at Shen Mo with cold eyes, lightly huffed, and said, "You still know to come back?"

The corners of Shen Mo's mouth curved into a smile.

Bai Youwei was displeased. "What are you smiling at!"

As Shen Mo approached, a wave of alcohol hit her face, and she became even angrier. "You even drank!"

Shen Mo sat down, casually scooped her up, placed her on his lap, and hugged her, smiling softly. "Yeah, I had a little."

Bai Youwei: "…"

The sudden intimacy made her uncomfortable. She couldn't help but stare suspiciously into Shen Mo's eyes, wondering if he was… drunk?

Some people, when drunk, are prone to doing outrageous things.

She inexplicably anticipated it…

A hand quietly landed on his abdominal muscles, tentatively asking, "Are you drunk?"

"I'm alright." Shen Mo leaned back into the sofa, one arm around her waist, slowly explaining, "A lot of uncles and elders came to my dad's place. It's rare for everyone to get together, so I had a few extra drinks."

Bai Youwei quietly continued to feel his abs.

This was a rare opportunity. Usually, he was so serious and wouldn't let her touch.

After only a couple of touches, Shen Mo grabbed her hand, stopping her.

Bai Youwei was slightly disappointed, not expecting him to be so alert even when drunk…

Shen Mo curled his lips and said, "Just now, you looked like the wife in a TV drama… discovering her husband came home late after drinking, and then flying into a rage."

Bai Youwei immediately imagined a middle-aged woman with curly hair and a slightly plump figure, wearing slippers.

"Nonsense! Am I that fierce?!"

Shen Mo chuckled softly, unable to stop for a moment.

He was usually emotionally reserved and rarely laughed like this. Bai Youwei stared at him, feeling that Shen Mo was a bit strange tonight.

After a while, Shen Mo hugged her and coaxed, "You're not fierce. I'm praising you for having authority."

The authority of the mistress of the house.

Bai Youwei pondered for a moment, her face slightly red, but fortunately, the light in the living room was dim, so it wasn't obvious.

Shen Mo slightly adjusted his position, still holding her, and asked, "What did you do today?"

"Cleaned the house, retrieved a bunch of garbage from that Bride game – useless to keep, a pity to throw away. Then Tan Xiao and Xiao Xin ran to the river to dig up a few bags of soil, saying that Teacher Cheng wanted to plant vegetables in the backyard of the dollhouse…"

Bai Youwei paused, remembering something. She twisted her body, picked up a stack of document papers from the sofa, and handed them to Shen Mo.

"I went to see Professor Song this afternoon. This is what the professor gave me, all game information from nearby."

Shen Mo took it and flipped through it roughly.

He initially thought he was only slightly tipsy, but now, seeing the densely packed words on the paper, he suddenly felt a bit overwhelmed.

He put down the document papers and asked Bai Youwei, "Want to go?"

Bai Youwei pouted. "These games aren't something you can just go to if you want. Because each game must have at least one death, otherwise, a full-clear will trigger the anti-farming system, and once a game disappears, a new, unknown game will appear. So, the organization stipulates that new games can't be fully cleared until they've been solved. If someone clears it, then they're responsible for creating a strategy for the next new game that appears."

She picked up the document papers and continued, "Although we can't go, this information is important. We can organize it and let Teacher Cheng and the others take a look to increase their game experience."

Shen Mo said, "Let's take it slow. I've already mentioned the matter of going north with my dad. Tomorrow, go with me to see him first."

Bai Youwei remembered Teacher Cheng's suggestion, and she nodded in agreement. "Okay."

Since everyone thought it was okay, she would go visit the elders.
