Chapter 363: Asking One More Time

"Hu Ya!" Yu Yaqing didn't want to fall out with her former teammate. She took a step forward and sternly ordered her again, "Hand over the key!"

Hu Ya continued to retreat, then suddenly turned and ran towards the corridor!

Yu Yaqing raised her leg to chase, but was a step too slow!

Hu Ya ran into her room and slammed the door shut!

"Hu Ya!" Yu Yaqing pounded on the door. "Come out! Don't be confused! The key is likely a trap!"

The person inside the room didn't make a sound.

The others were all awakened by the noise, and one by one they walked out of their rooms, asking Yu Yaqing in confusion:

"What's wrong? What happened to Hu Ya?"

Bai Youwei also rubbed her ears and asked sleepily, "What are you arguing about?"

Yu Yaqing felt somewhat embarrassed. Although Hu Ya's actions were her personal behavior, she was, after all, her team member, and Yu Yaqing felt she had some responsibility.

"Hu Ya has the key, and she might want to do something…" Yu Yaqing pursed her lips and said in a low voice, "I'm worried she'll mess things up."

"Did she come out in the middle of the night to open the door and find that it couldn't be opened?" Bai Youwei yawned and said lazily, "Let her do what she wants. Anyway, we can't escape unless the Duke dies. One more of her doesn't make a difference. Let's all go back to sleep."

She wheeled herself back into her room and closed the door to sleep.

Su Man and Zhu Zhu exchanged glances and also returned to their rooms.

Yu Yaqing looked at their backs, then looked at the closed door in front of her… She raised her hand and knocked on the door again.

Bang, bang.

There was no sound from inside the door.

Yu Yaqing thought for a moment and said to the door, "Hu Ya, no matter what, I hope you can think about it again and don't be bewitched by the game."

After she finished speaking, there was still no movement.

Yu Yaqing stood in front of the door for a while, then turned and went back to her room.

Hu Ya's back was pressed against the door panel as she slowly slid down to sit. She lowered her head and looked at the key in her hand.

"What else is there to think about…" She stared at the key, murmuring distractedly, "If we can clear the game by killing the Duke, I can clear the game with them. If the Duke doesn't die… they will definitely not survive. Only I… only I will live to the last day."

She closed her eyes and clenched the key in her hand.

"I can't trust them… The only person I can rely on is myself."

The next morning, Bai Youwei woke up early.

Calculating the time, this was already the third morning she had been in the game. It was time to end it.

She wheeled herself to the dining room.

The Inspector was setting up breakfast, which was still simple milk and dry bread. Despite its simplicity, it tirelessly adjusted the placement of the plates and the angle of the food, like a severe obsessive-compulsive patient.

The others hadn't arrived yet.

Bai Youwei first took a bite of the dry bread, which tasted like chewing wood chips.

She put down the bread and drank half a glass of milk. Fortunately, the milk was fresh.

"Actually, there's something I've been concerned about…" she said, "As a game exclusively for women, isn't it a bit too violent if the condition for clearing the game is to kill the Duke?"

The Inspector looked at her quietly.

Bai Youwei said, "After all, violence isn't something women are good at. But if it's not killing the Duke, then the only other way is to find the key."

At this point, she paused and raised her eyes to look at the Inspector.

"But this method is even more unreliable…" She stared at the face that resembled a handsome man from a manga and said calmly, "Because I can't imagine how a game can continue if the Inspector deliberately gives out wrong information?"

"The Inspector is always correct." It finally spoke. "There will only be situations where players misunderstand, not situations where the Inspector is wrong."

Bai Youwei said, "Then I'll ask you one more time, is the condition for clearing the game to find the key?"

The Inspector fell silent.

After a moment, it answered, "The condition for clearing the game is to become the last bride."

Bai Youwei smiled faintly, "Thanks."
