Chapter 383: Arrangements, Arrangements

The next day, Bai Youwei slept until the sun was high in the sky. Only after she had slept her fill did she finally get up to wash.

Teacher Cheng was preparing lunch.

Without a gas stove, cooking was very inconvenient, so Teacher Cheng always started preparations well in advance.

Tan Xiao and Pan Xiaoxin were helping out on the side.

Although sometimes they were more of a hindrance than a help.

The morning passed peacefully and leisurely. Bai Youwei brushed her teeth while watching them bustle about, and she couldn't help but feel like she had forgotten something.

Had she forgotten Shen Mo? … That shouldn't be it. Shen Mo had gone to see his father, and he had told her before he left.

So what else could it be?

Bai Youwei continued to think.

"Ah!" she exclaimed, realizing what it was. "Let's have steak for lunch!"

Tan Xiao, Cheng Weicai, and Pan Xiaoxin all looked at her, their expressions blank.

Bai Youwei took out the golden key, opened the door to the dollhouse, and said with great interest, "It's perfect that you're all here. After we eat steak, you can help me tidy up the house."

The moment the door to the dollhouse opened, a dazzling golden light shone out!

The three of them were stunned.

Tan Xiao almost didn't recognize the dollhouse. He exclaimed, "My god! Weiwei, you got another house?! Is this a reward from the new game?"

"No," Bai Youwei said, leaning on her crutch as she walked inside. She squeezed in among the piles of gold and silver jewelry and waved at them. "Come in, come in and I'll explain."

The three of them exchanged glances and then "squeezed" into the dollhouse one after another—

It was really too crowded. There was almost no room to stand on the entire first floor. The floor was covered with piles of gold and silver jewelry and beautiful clothes. There were seventy or eighty hats alone! Bejeweled ones, fur ones, ones with silk flowers, all kinds!

There was also some gorgeous and expensive tableware casually placed underneath, and they accidentally crushed some of it. Teacher Cheng's heart ached at the sight.

"If there's no room in the house, just throw it outside," Bai Youwei said, not caring at all. She went straight to the refrigerator and struggled to move the heavy gold nearby so she could open the refrigerator door—

She took out a few steaks from inside.

The steaks were already pan-fried to a perfect medium-rare, but they had lost their freshly cooked flavor after being frozen. However, being able to eat steak at all right now was already a luxury.

"Teacher Cheng~~" Bai Youwei called out to Cheng Weicai. "Come over and check the refrigerator. Throw away any expired food! Keep what's still edible! We're having steak for lunch today!"

"Xiaoxin~~ You're in charge of putting all the clothes in the closet on the second floor. If the closet isn't big enough, stuff them in the study! The study isn't really being used for anything anyway!"

"Tan Xiao~~ You're in charge of throwing the weapons in the storage room first, and piling the gold and silver jewelry in the yard! Otherwise, it's too much of a nuisance to have it all piled up in here!"

With these instructions, everyone knew exactly what to do.

Tan Xiao had the heaviest task, and it was all physical labor. After moving several piles of gold, he couldn't help but ask:

"Weiwei, if you don't want this stuff, why did you even move it into the dollhouse?"

"It looks nice piled up. You can open the window and see mountains of gold and silver. Don't you think that's pleasing to the eye?" Bai Youwei said casually. "Besides, when I don't have a weapon on hand, it's not bad to use it to smash people."

Tan Xiao weighed the gold brick in his hand and nodded. "You're right!"

He continued to move the gold.

…Apart from Bai Youwei, everyone was busy.

When the house was clean and tidy again, and Teacher Cheng had warmed up the steaks, Bai Youwei opened the door and glanced outside. Shen Mo still hadn't returned.

That wasn't surprising. Father and son would definitely stay for a meal when they met.

At the dining table, Teacher Cheng cleared his throat and said hesitantly, "Weiwei, about that…"

"Hmm?" Bai Youwei said, eating her steak.

Teacher Cheng said, "Little Shen has helped us a lot along the way. I heard his father hasn't been feeling well lately. Do you think we should… go visit him?"
