v2c3: The White Moonlight of the Sickly CEO (Live Stream) [3]

City A, inside the Huo Corporation building.

In the CEO's office, a young man nestled on the sofa, his eyes glued to the screen of his phone. A beautiful singing voice flowed from the device, captivating his attention.

"Huo Qi, playing with your phone in my office? Get out."

As the icy voice fell, a soft, gentle voice came from the phone.

"I don't have any family left. This old house belonged to my grandmother. She passed away a long time ago, and my parents passed away one after the other in those years..."

The speaker was clearly a young woman, her voice sweet and melodious. Yet, to Huo Fei's ears, it sent chills down his spine.

His pupils constricted as he snatched the phone.

The screen didn't show the familiar face, but he would recognize her anywhere.

Huo Qi stared at Huo Fei in surprise. The man's past experiences had shaped him into someone incredibly composed. He was intelligent yet taciturn, his silence exuding a chilling aura.

And yet, such a man was losing his composure?!

"What's wrong?"

Huo Fei thought his heart had died long ago. But when he heard those words, "no family," his wounded heart ached once more.

His vision blurred. He blinked hard, trying to focus on the image on the phone.

Grandma Jiang's old house – he had lived there for three years. Those were tough years, yet filled with a simple joy. Memories flooded back, those once-cherished moments now tinged with bitterness.

He remained silent for a long time, his eyes reddening, before finally croaking, "What is this?"

Huo Qi straightened up, his usual playful demeanor gone. He genuinely admired Huo Fei. "This is Banana Live, our company's streaming platform. This young woman is one of our streamers."

Huo Fei closed his eyes, a strange impulse driving him to ask, "Is she signed?"

Huo Qi shook his head. "We tried to sign her on a B contract, but she declined."

Streamer contracts were categorized into A, B, C, and D. A contracts were typically offered to streamers heavily promoted by the platform, essentially becoming their brand ambassadors. Such contracts were rare, with only three signed so far. Among the remaining types, B contracts offered excellent terms, usually reserved for relatively popular streamers.

Having regained his composure, Huo Fei looked at the phone screen, his expression unreadable. "An A contract. Sign her."

Huo Qi was taken aback but knew better than to question him.

"Alright."

"Anything else?"

"Yes, about the branch office..."

...

When Su Tang received the contract offer, she knew Huo Fei must have seen her live stream. Otherwise, with her current level of popularity, a B contract was the best she could hope for.

The male lead had indirectly invited her, and she wouldn't miss this opportunity. After all, she had gone through the trouble of choosing this specific platform for a reason.

Banana Live was a relatively new platform that had emerged in the past two years. However, not many knew the identity of its owner. Therefore, Su Tang wasn't worried about Huo Fei suspecting anything.

For the past six months, Su Tang had barely left the small mountain village. Now that she was going out, she was in high spirits. She even dressed up for the occasion.

Unlike the glamorous appearance in the previous world, Jiang Yu in this world was elegant and pure. At twenty-two, she was in the prime of her youth. With a little dressing up, her ethereal beauty shone through.

Jiang Yu possessed a natural, almost fairy-like charm. Su Tang chose not to wear anything too flashy, opting for a white theme. As it was winter, she wore a long white down jacket over a matching dress, making her entrance in City A.

Banana Live's office wasn't located in the Huo Corporation's main building. However, knowing that Su Tang was signing her contract today, Huo Fei arrived early.

Seeing Huo Fei in his office so early in the morning, Huo Qi felt like he was sitting on pins and needles.

"Huo Fei." He stood up but was pushed back down by Huo Fei.

Huo Fei's face was grim, his voice devoid of its usual indifference. "I'll be in the lounge. You handle the signing." There was a small lounge on the other side of the office, specifically for resting. However, Huo Fei stopped halfway. "Don't let her know that this is a subsidiary of Huo Corporation."

Huo Qi's curiosity about this "Little Fishy" grew, but he maintained a calm facade. "Understood."

Contract signings were usually handled by agents. The fact that the CEO was involved this time piqued the curiosity of many employees. Some of them had seen Su Tang's live streams and had a favorable impression of her. Nonetheless, they couldn't help but wonder, speculating about her relationship with Huo Qi.

The office was warm. Su Tang took off her white down jacket and held it in her arms.

In the CEO's office, Huo Qi watched as the young woman entered. Someone who had captivated Huo Fei's heart was bound to be beautiful. Her pure and refreshing aura was rare, even in the entertainment industry. Honestly, if not for Huo Fei, he would have been quite fond of this young woman. But now, all he felt was curiosity.

"Miss Jiang." He stood up and extended his hand. However, a cold sweat broke out on his back as if a terrifying presence had descended upon him, sending chills down his spine.

"Mr. Huo." Su Tang was about to reach out her hand, but before their fingers could touch, he withdrew his hand.

The atmosphere turned awkward. Huo Qi cleared his throat and abruptly changed the subject. "Miss Jiang, please have a seat."

Su Tang ignored the awkward encounter. If her guess was right, Huo Fei was also in this office. Although spacious, there was nowhere to hide except for the lounge.

Her gaze swept across the room subtly. For some reason, Huo Qi's heart skipped a beat.

"Miss Jiang, this is the contract. Please take a look."

To be honest, Su Tang had no objections to the contract. However...

"Mr. Huo, is there no two-year contract? I started live streaming on a whim. A five-year contract… I'm not sure if I can commit to that."

Knowing how important she was to Huo Fei, Huo Qi didn't dare to agree to her request. Moreover, from a business perspective, a five-year contract was more beneficial.

"Miss Jiang, for long-term development, I believe a five-year contract is better. After all, as you know, the competition in live streaming is fierce. There have been cases where we've made someone popular, only for them to become stepping stones for others." He continued with some professional flattery. "Miss Jiang, frankly speaking, I've seen your live streams, and I think you're fantastic..."

In the end, Su Tang signed the contract. But as she finished, she noticed the strange look on Huo Qi's face.

"What's wrong?"

Huo Qi put down his phone and smiled. "It's nothing. By the way, Miss Jiang, it's customary at Banana Live to hold a welcome ceremony for our A-list newcomers. Would you be available tonight?"

Su Tang was taken aback but didn't show any suspicion on her face. "Yes, I'm available. May I ask where it will be held?"

Huo Qi sighed in relief as he checked his phone. He had finally fulfilled his cousin's request.

"6 PM tonight, at the Kailuo Hotel."
