Chapter 184: Get Out, You Fake Fan! 11

Su Tang, harboring this suspicion, watched the Film Emperor enter the bathroom to wash up.

Half an hour later, Bo Yijin emerged, towel in hand, drying his hair. Seeing her staring intently at him, he couldn't help but chuckle and ask, "What's wrong?"

Su Tang gazed at him, wanting to grab his hand and demand an explanation. However, he appeared so unconcerned that she couldn't help but wonder if it had all been an accident. Perhaps he had simply put on the wrong clothes by mistake?

In the end, she swallowed her questions.

After all, they weren't that close. While Bo Yijin presented a gentle and elegant facade, beneath the surface lurked something entirely different.

"Nothing," Su Tang said, making up an excuse. "Just wanted to warn you, I might not sleep well. I might even snore." She then timidly retreated back under the covers.

Bo Yijin suppressed a smile. "Giving up on your persona already? I recall An Laoshi aspiring to be a little fairy."

Su Tang, resigned, mumbled from beneath the blankets, "I'm giving up. I'm embracing my true self."

This time, Bo Yijin couldn't contain his laughter.

Indeed, if not a little fairy, she could be his little darling.

"Ding, Blackening Value decreased by 5%, current Blackening Index 95%."

As the bedroom lights went out, Bo Yijin listened to the soft breathing nearby, a smile playing on his lips.

Step one, complete.

The little girl was gradually letting down her guard around him. The next step was to eliminate all those bothersome people around her, like that imbecile Jin Jingsheng.

Su Tang's sleep was restless, filled with dreams of being chased and imprisoned. When she finally woke, she felt exhausted, not wanting to move a muscle.

Having received permission, the cameraman was already inside, filming.

Even without makeup, Su Tang looked stunning under the high-definition camera. Suppressing a yawn, she asked the cameraman, "Is everyone else up?"

The cameraman replied, "As the winner, you got to sleep in. The others weren't so lucky."

Su Tang's interest was piqued. "How so?"

Just then, the Film Emperor, impeccably dressed, entered the room. Before the cameraman could answer, he spoke. "Remember the other two rooms? One had a broken window, the other a suspected leak."

Su Tang nodded.

"The room with the broken window," the Film Emperor continued, a hint of amusement in his voice, "had a fan pointed at it at six o'clock this morning. As for the leaky room…" He paused, suppressing a chuckle. "The director had someone climb onto the roof and simulate rainfall with a hose."

Su Tang's first thought was that this reality show was brutal.

"So they got up so early to do what?" she asked.

Bo Yijin replied, "There's no hot water in the courtyard. The director said girls need hot water to wash their faces, so he had them chop wood and boil water."

The same person who had just moments ago thought the director was ruthless now found him endearing.

Reality shows thrived on tormenting the guests. Perhaps they had become accustomed to the suffering, but everyone seemed more resilient in the final two days. Even their wood-chopping skills had improved, and the food wasn't burnt. However, just two days before the end of filming, an unexpected incident occurred.

More accurately, someone came to cause trouble.

The troublemakers were villagers, seemingly simple folk, but their eyes held a menacing glint. The two young men leading the group were strong and clearly not to be trifled with.

This area was remote. The crew had mostly encountered children and elderly people during their stay. The few young people they had seen usually had some physical disability. This group, however, was different. They were organized and disciplined, resembling a gang more than villagers.

When trouble arose, the director was the first to step forward.

"Who are you?!" he demanded.

The leader of the group scanned the crew, as if searching for someone. He completely ignored the director's outburst. After a moment, seemingly not having found whoever he was looking for, his expression hardened, his eyes flashing with malice.

Su Tang, having encountered all sorts of people in her life, recognized that look.

These weren't simple villagers; they were thugs, possibly even murderers.

In terms of numbers, the crew outnumbered them almost three to one, but they were still at a disadvantage. They had expensive equipment to protect, and many of the crew members were young women. The intruders, though fewer, were clearly desperate and unafraid. The poor signal in the area made calling the police difficult.

The director's face was grim, but the intruders' expressions were even darker.

"Have you taken in any women recently?" one of them asked in heavily accented Mandarin.

The director, accustomed to deference, was enraged at being addressed in such a manner. "No! If you don't leave, we'll call the police!"

The intruders clearly didn't believe him. The leader swaggered into the courtyard and had his men roughly compare the faces of each woman present to something they held. Any man with a shred of decency would be angered by seeing women he knew treated this way, especially when some of them were guests on the show.

Yi Xiaoxiao was on the verge of tears, while Shen Anxin was the first to lash out verbally.

Her outburst only enraged the thugs further. Just as a brawl seemed imminent, a clear voice cut through the tension.

"If you're looking for someone," Su Tang said, "you should at least tell me who you've lost."

The leader turned to Su Tang, surprised to see her not only unafraid but also meeting his gaze directly.

As someone who lived a dangerous life, he was sensitive to the glint of danger in another's eyes. However, looking at Su Tang's small frame, he dismissed his initial apprehension.

He knew this place had been rented by a film crew, and the guests were famous. This girl's confidence likely stemmed from being a pampered celebrity.

"My wife is missing," he said. "We had a fight a few days ago, and I'm worried about her. There are no roads here, and I'm afraid she might be in danger. Besides, she's not quite right in the head. She tends to ramble."

Su Tang didn't believe a word of it and consulted the system.

As she suspected, he was lying. He was a human trafficker.

Su Tang looked at him with disgust. "The person you're looking for isn't here. Of course, you can try to search by force, but the consequences…" She took a step forward, but Bo Yijin suddenly stepped in front of her, his tall frame shielding her almost completely.

"This is private property," Bo Yijin said. "If you dare to search, you'll receive a lawyer's letter within ten days."

Despite the calm tone of his voice, the leader felt a chill run down his spine, a sense of inexplicable fear.

Su Tang then stood on tiptoe, straining to peek around Bo Yijin. "Do you know who he is? The newly crowned Film Emperor. And that young lady you're almost scaring to tears? One of the Four Little Flower Dan actresses. And that beautiful woman who yelled at you? They're all prominent figures. Any one of us could send you a lawyer's letter, and your fans will tear you apart before the police even find you."
