Chapter 376: Bounty Hunter 24

The group settled in, each with their own agenda. Among them, Aaron, who was about to become a fallen angel, was particularly excited. The amnesiac Satan seemed exceptionally easy to fool, and with the even more gullible witch alchemist, Aaron felt like God was on his side.

He disguised himself as an angel in love with the witch, torn between the laws of Heaven and the torment of his heart, a figure of contradiction and pity.

"No, my dear Alice, none of this is your fault. I won't allow you to blame yourself."

The witch Alice was deeply moved, her emerald eyes glistening with tears, filled with heartache and self-reproach.

"But Aaron, this isn't your fault either…"

Su Tang and Satan found a place to sit. They watched the impassioned performance in the distance with blank expressions, even craving something tasty to eat.

"Mr. Dracula, would you like some?"

Satan's eyes twinkled with laughter, his little girl was so clever.

"Of course."

Speaking of which, ever since Su Tang had cooked a meal using her most authentic culinary skills, Satan had been constantly thinking about it. It was simply too delicious. But delicious as it was, he never asked for it. The person he had set his sights on wasn't meant to be his cook. On the contrary, he had secretly learned from her while she was cooking.

Aaron was halfway through his performance, almost moved to tears himself, when he caught sight of Satan and that vampire actually cooking?!

In that instant, his devoted expression nearly cracked and twisted.

Alice sensed his unease and blinked in confusion. "Dear Aaron, what's wrong?"

Aaron forced a smile. "Nothing, I just remembered we have friends here today. We shouldn't make them worry."

Alice felt a little embarrassed upon hearing this. She had been carried away and forgotten about their guests.

Su Tang was currently grilling meat, a unique animal from the Blood Mist Forest that couldn't be found anywhere else. She consulted the system to make sure it was safe before taking out the seasonings.

Satan was petty. Seeing that the angel was no longer performing, he revealed an even more vigilant expression than when they were fighting, as if afraid he would snatch the meat.

Aaron was amused and angered. In Heaven, although there were tens of thousands of two-winged angels, they were still angels. They represented nobility from birth. Who would care about a mere meal?

"Sir, you seem to be emotionally unstable. Do you need help?"

Su Tang stifled a laugh and explained for the childish demon, "My demon lord is a bit particular about food. If it makes you uncomfortable, I apologize." You can only continue to be uncomfortable.

She didn't say the second half of the sentence, but Satan, who had been with her for a long time, understood.

His little girl was very protective.

Satan was delighted. After their confession, she had begun to accept him and even protect him as before.

But in Aaron's eyes, Satan seemed hopelessly stupid. He was so concerned about a mere vampire, the lowest of dark creatures. And those foods made him seem even more idiotic.

However, he maintained a warm smile on the surface. "It's alright, I rarely eat anything."

The witch looked embarrassed. The smell of the grilled meat was too tempting. She almost couldn't resist and quickly left, using the excuse of researching potions.

Aaron wanted to learn more about Satan, so he endured the fragrant grilled meat and stayed. But in the end, he felt like it was torture. Why could that damned vampire grill meat so deliciously? Shouldn't she only drink blood? How could she eat so much meat? And Satan, a dignified six-winged fallen angel, was actually eating non-lethal grilled meat. Where was the pride of a fallen angel?

In the end, Aaron stormed off in anger.

Of course, before leaving, he angrily thought that he must keep this vampire in the future and make her grill meat for him every day until he was sick of it.

As soon as he left, only Satan and Su Tang remained. They exchanged glances and saw mockery in each other's eyes.

Where did a two-winged angel get the nerve to think he could take down a six-winged fallen angel?

Having eaten and drunk their fill, Satan was in a good mood. Even his voice was lazy as he asked, "What does Anna plan to do?"

Su Tang stood up. "Play along." Then she added, "I'm going to wash my hands. Would the demon lord like to join me?"

Satan didn't speak but stood up directly, indicating with his actions.

There was a small river near the ice house. Because it was a flowing river, it hadn't frozen over. Su Tang washed her hands and felt sleepy. The drowsiness came suddenly. She barely leaned against Satan before falling into a deep sleep.

Her sleep drove Satan crazy.

In her dream, Su Tang arrived at a holy land filled with light. The light wasn't dazzling but gently shone on her, warming her body and making her feel extremely comfortable.

However, she didn't let her guard down because of the comfort. Until a voice appeared.

"Hello, outsider."

A deep, gentle voice suddenly sounded. Su Tang didn't move or look around. She knew that the voice came from all directions, which meant that the person might be outside this domain.

Sure enough, this sudden sleepiness was very strange.

Su Tang moved her hand and tried to use her magic. Great, it was all gone. Then she tried to contact the system. Fortunately, it was still there.

"Dog, what's going on?"

Although the system was there, its voice wasn't as clear as before. It was a bit choppy, like an old television, intermittent.

"It's God."

Su Tang raised her eyebrows in surprise. Why was God running to her dream instead of staying in Heaven?

As she thought this, a person suddenly appeared before her, or rather, a god.

God didn't seem to appear in his true form, only a vague figure. But even such a shadow was impossible to impersonate. It was too powerful, more powerful than any she had seen before.

She calmly looked at him, and God laughed first.

"You are very powerful, more powerful than I imagined."

Su Tang didn't speak, waiting for him to continue.

And God didn't stand on ceremony. "I'm looking for you out of curiosity. You are the first outsider to break the rules and come here. You are not controlled by the laws, and you are crucial." He said this and suddenly smiled kindly. "Child, don't worry, I have no malice. I just…"

Su Tang stared blankly, and when he hesitated, she said, "Just what?"

God said, "Want to ask you to stay."

Su Tang frowned, becoming wary of him. "Impossible."

God sighed regretfully, not angry or annoyed, more like an expected answer.

"Forget it, just consider it my wishful thinking."

Su Tang, "What exactly do you want from me?"

God didn't answer directly but looked past her to the other side. "I recently deduced a terrible situation. The balance between light and darkness is lost. Eventually, the world will be shrouded in darkness until the world collapses and disintegrates. Even I, as God, am powerless."

Su Tang frowned even deeper. This was the original world's discovery.

God added, "But recently, things have taken a turn for the better."
