Chapter 127: Extra 1 - Part 2

The sky remained gloomy. The blood-colored butterfly wings had vanished, and on the empty, snowy ground, only the bone umbrella remained.

“Lord, why did His Majesty the Demon King leave?” the simple-minded demon Tie Yue couldn’t help but ask. “Since the Queen is fine, why didn’t he reward the troops first?”

Yue Chen: “…”

He still held the small wooden tube containing Mo Xi’s soul, entrusted to him by Yuan Jue. Looking at the still-dazed demon beside him, he slowly revealed a helpless smile. Glancing at Tie Yue, he said, “It’s best not to say that in front of His Majesty, or I fear you’ll lose your head.”

Yue Chen looked at the completely shattered spatial barrier and sighed softly. For the Demon King, neither the Demon Realm nor the Yao Realm could compare to a single finger of the Queen. To see her, he had forced open a permanent passage.

In all the records, the Demon King, known for his bloodthirstiness and who never allowed any demon within ten meters of him, had become so quiet, docile, considerate, and even shed tears? This stark contrast in treatment left the demons speechless.

But the problem was, even knowing Yuan Jue was this kind of Demon King, they couldn’t utter a single word of dissent.

Actually, from a certain perspective, this loyal and affectionate Demon King was much better than that shameless Mo Xi.

Weighing the small wooden tube in his hand, Yue Chen pulled a thumb-sized bottle from his pocket and, like a magic trick, stuffed the wooden tube containing Mo Xi’s soul inside.

He put the bottle away, ignoring Mo Xi’s wails from within, and turned to mobilize the demon soldiers. His Majesty had left with the Queen, but there was still much to do here.

Tian Ye and the other Yao watched the daunting demon army from afar, their hearts filled with complex emotions.

“These demons… they won’t come through that spatial passage to attack our tribe, will they?” Xiong Duo Duo asked softly.

Grandfather Clan Leader sighed deeply, his expression weary. “They shouldn’t.”

After all, Yuan Jue was now the Demon King, and Ruan Qiuqiu was the Queen. They had established a good relationship with the most powerful force in the Demon Realm.

Grandfather Clan Leader turned his head and met the gaze of Xiong Gun Gun, who had appeared beside Xiong Duo Duo at some point, still in his black and white ball form. He coughed lightly. “Worst case scenario, our entire tribe can move to the Demon Realm. With your Sister Qiuqiu there, are you afraid of being eaten by those demons?”

Grandfather Panda deliberately spoke loudly, startling Yue Chen, who was standing in front of them. Little Yue Chen turned around, puzzled, and scratched his chin. “This is the first time I’ve seen a Yao wanting to join the Demon Realm.”

After all, to most demons, the Yao were merely food. It was rare for food to jump onto the table and shout, “I want to join you!”

Tian Ye looked at the demon army in the distance. The fear in her heart was overshadowed by relief. To her, these demons, who had helped her kill Mo Xi and the others who had nearly slaughtered the entire Sha Tribe, were her benefactors. Excitement and liberation outweighed fear, naturally making her unafraid.

Yue Chen looked at the group of Yao, feeling like his mind had malfunctioned. He scratched his head. “If you really want to come, I can have my brother designate a territory for you.”

Judging by Yuan Jue’s attitude towards his brother, he planned to promote him. He had done a great deed for his brother and sister.

Qing Ruyi looked at the boisterous group of Yao and demons and couldn't help but smile with relief. Mo Xi was as good as dead, with only his soul remaining. He could no longer control the demonic Gu within her. Even if the Gu wasn’t dead yet, it couldn’t frantically absorb her life force as before. While she initially only had ten days left, she could now hold on for two or three months.

Her gamble to protect Ruan Qiuqiu and the others had paid off, buying her and Mo Bu Gui a chance at survival.

Mo Bu Gui stood beside her, looking at his partner, whose complexion was poor but whose spirit was excellent, and couldn't help but smile. Perhaps, in this lifetime, they wouldn't have to face a painful separation or unrequited love.

Joy quickly spread through the Winter Bear Tribe, but one person's heart was filled with complex emotions.

Ruan Hanshan stood in a corner, his handsome brows furrowed, murmuring, "Too similar…"

The Demon King was too similar to the wolf cub in his hazy memories.

It really was him.

Ruan Hanshan chuckled, his gaze fixed on the direction where Yuan Jue had disappeared with Ruan Qiuqiu in his arms. He slowly clenched his fists. If he wanted to marry his sister, no matter what, there had to be a proper ceremony.

Demons and Yao were always less formal than humans and didn’t pay much attention to these things, but their underground human race was different. He hadn’t done much for his sister all these years, so this bonding ceremony had to be grand.

While Ruan Hanshan secretly vowed to prepare a grand ceremony, Yuan Jue had already carried his beloved wife back to his residence in Forbidden Treasure Mountain.

Forbidden Treasure Mountain wasn't just the size of a single mountain; it encompassed a vast area. The outermost layer was a mixed residential area for demons and humans who cultivated demonic arts. Further in was a layer of mountain peaks, and above that were the residences of elite demons. The deepest and highest point was the Land of Reincarnation and Yuan Jue’s residence.

During those painful decades of reincarnation, he had lived here alone.

Held in Yuan Jue's arms, Ruan Qiuqiu felt the world blur around her as the wind whistled past her ears. In mere seconds, the wolf stopped.

“We’re here,” Yuan Jue whispered against her ear, his warm breath causing her slightly cooled cheeks to flush again.

She hummed in response, then realized she had unconsciously grabbed his already tattered clothes. When he spoke, her ears heated up, and she accidentally tightened her grip, ripping his collar.

His beautifully sculpted collarbone and a glimpse of his toned chest were revealed. Ruan Qiuqiu quickly averted her gaze, only to meet the wolf’s slightly shocked, shy, yet expectant eyes.

Ruan Qiuqiu: “…” Would he believe her if she said it wasn't intentional?

Her face flushed even deeper, and she instinctively struggled, wanting to get down from his arms. She was just a little tired, not unable to walk.

But the more she moved, the more something felt amiss. Being out in the open like this gave her an indescribable sense of embarrassment.

Ruan Qiuqiu awkwardly clutched the thin, red scraps of what could no longer be called animal hide and whispered, “Your clothes are torn. I’ll make you new ones in a few days…”

Yuan Jue felt the wind brush against his exposed skin and heard her shy voice. His long-dormant heart gradually came alive.

He remembered that before they parted, she had said they would bond when he returned. It had only been a few days, but for him, it had been an entire cycle of reincarnation.

His long, dark eyelashes trembled as he lowered his head, his nose touching hers. His narrow eyes stared intently at her, the corners flushed, perhaps from shyness, making him look incredibly alluring.

Even though he desperately wanted to kiss her, he refused to close his eyes.

Ruan Qiuqiu met his gaze for only a couple of seconds before she couldn’t take it anymore and closed her eyes. She had always known he liked to stare at her, but it hadn't been this intense before. Now, he was clingier yet more restrained.

Feeling that he hadn't kissed her yet, Ruan Qiuqiu tilted her head up slightly, their lips meeting.

Yuan Jue held her tighter, kissing her softly. These light, gentle kisses, though merely a feather-light touch, made her blush and her breath hitch.

She felt lightheaded, almost unreal.

When she finally opened her eyes, unable to bear it any longer, she found that Yuan Jue wasn't much better off. The corners of his eyes were red, and his scarless cheeks, aside from some bloodstains, were flushed a charming crimson, extending to his ears and neck.

Mr. Demon King had hidden his horns, and his slightly messy black hair tickled her neck.

Another gentle touch sent shivers down her spine. Her hand trembled, accidentally tearing another piece of his clothing.

Ruan Qiuqiu: “…”

She turned her head slightly. “…Husband, shall we go inside?”

Yuan Jue’s Adam’s apple bobbed, his eyes dark. After a moment, he suppressed something and softly replied, “Okay.”

He carried her inside, and Ruan Qiuqiu finally saw his residence. She was greeted by a familiar wooden door. Pushing it open, she saw the familiar yet slightly strange cave. Even the furnishings were identical to their home in the Winter Bear Tribe.

The only difference was that this cave was larger, and the bed in the “master bedroom” was bigger.

Yuan Jue carried her to the bed and told her to lie down and rest in a hoarse voice, saying he needed to clean himself first.

Ruan Qiuqiu, a little nervous, thinking that something was finally going to happen between them, said in a trembling voice that she wanted to wash up too.

Yuan Jue turned around, his clothes in tatters, his handsome face flushed. He stammered, “Wolf… can… can wash himself…”

Ruan Qiuqiu: “…”

Of course, she knew he could wash himself!

Ruan Qiuqiu: “…Oh, um.” Her face was burning, and she couldn’t bring herself to say anything else.

“Wife… are you… unable to move?” Just as Ruan Qiuqiu thought the conversation would end there, Yuan Jue leaned down and gently touched her arm, his voice shy, his eyes slightly curved. “Do… do you want Wolf to help you wash?”
