Chapter 4: Chapter 4

"If she screams in fear, kill her," Mr. Big Bad Wolf thought fiercely.

The snow was stained red with blood. The cold air was filled with the strong smell of blood and the pungent odor of decay.

Ruan Qiuqiu's legs went weak. She clutched the animal skin bag in her hand and looked up nervously at the wolf demon that had suddenly appeared at the edge of the cave.

The wolf demon was covered in blood.

He was huge in his demon form, slightly hunched over, nearly three meters tall. He completely blocked the small cave entrance. She had to strain her neck to see his massive body.

It was a wounded body—

Large and small ferocious wounds spread from his back. Some had scabbed over, while others were fresh, oozing blood. The bloodstains that could not be cleaned, along with the blood, made his fur stick together in ugly black clumps.

The giant wolf's two front paws sank deep into the snow. His left hind leg, from the joint down, was nothing but white bone, dripping with pus and blood.

Ruan Qiuqiu's lips trembled as she looked at the giant wolf less than five meters away from her. He was baring his teeth and growling at her in a low, warning tone.

Hearing this low growl, almost identical to the one she had just heard in the forest, Ruan Qiuqiu immediately confirmed that the giant wolf in front of her, with a deep wound from his left forehead to his right eyelid, was her husband.

Her disfigured, disabled, critically injured, and allegedly blind wolf husband.

Ruan Qiuqiu's palms were sweating, and she stood rooted to the spot, unable to move.

Mr. Big Bad Wolf looked ferocious, baring his terrifying fangs, as if he would pounce on her in the next second, tearing her, this delicious human female, to pieces under his claws and eating her.

Looking at the seriously injured giant wolf in front of her, Ruan Qiuqiu finally understood why the wolf demons from the Flame Wolf Tribe had not dared to approach the edge of the forest before. It turned out that even though her husband was disabled, he was still such a huge and ferocious-looking wolf.

Listening to the increasingly obvious warning growl from Mr. Big Bad Wolf's throat and watching his massive body move towards her bit by bit, Ruan Qiuqiu felt strangely unafraid.

She should have been terrified, but she accidentally saw the white snowflakes clinging to the side of Mr. Big Bad Wolf's whiskers.

That was a mark that only a wolf cub that had just gnawed on a snowball should have.

This, this fierce wolf now, wasn't he just a small, helpless, and pitiful wolf cub gnawing on snow?

Looking at the snowflakes on the giant wolf's whiskers, Ruan Qiuqiu stood there, seriously pondering the question of how her husband could seamlessly switch between a wolf cub and a big bad wolf. She didn't notice that her forehead had been plastered with the word "stupid" by a certain wolf.

--- As early as ten days ago, Mr. Big Bad Wolf, who had just moved to this "rehabilitation" area, had heard that the tribe was going to give him a human companion as compensation.

This was indeed an ancient custom passed down from many years ago in the demon race. If a former tribe leader who had been abandoned was about to die and had never been married, the tribe would "marry" a human companion to the abandoned demon.

It was said to be a companion, but everyone knew that this was the tribe's last act of "mercy." It was to let the demon, who had never enjoyed the pleasure of mating, enjoy the pleasure of an adult demon once, and by the way, enjoy the taste of humans, which they were usually forbidden to taste, and have a good meal before dying.

Mr. Big Bad Wolf sneered. He only felt extremely disgusted by this decision made by the tribe that had abandoned him.

He was not interested in the disgusting act of mating, nor was he interested in what human flesh tasted like.

It's just…

Mr. Big Bad Wolf narrowed his eyes, which were almost completely blind, and slowly extended a trace of his remaining demonic consciousness, "seeing" Ruan Qiuqiu, who was standing in front of him with a pale face.

Was this human really stupid or was she too scared to move by him? His demon form was so scary, why didn't she run?

Did she know that if it were another starving and unscrupulous demon standing in front of her, she wouldn't even last three seconds?

Mr. Big Bad Wolf, who was in excruciating pain and about to pass out, "looked" at Ruan Qiuqiu, who was wearing a ridiculous red wedding dress, and a strange thought of wanting to tease her arose in his numb heart.

This pitiful human must have been scared silly, so why not scare her a little more? If she screamed in terror like those disgusting female demons, he would directly tear her fragile and fair neck into two pieces.

Mr. Big Bad Wolf thought maliciously. He endured the tearing pain in his left leg, deliberately growled, raised his front paws, and suddenly pounced towards Ruan Qiuqiu, who was only a short distance away.

He bared his fangs at her, his demonic consciousness tightly wrapped around Ruan Qiuqiu, paying attention to every subtle expression on her face.

--- Ruan Qiuqiu only felt a gust of fishy wind blowing in front of her. When she regained her senses, the giant wolf, who had been majestic just now, had pounced in front of her.

His blue-gray eyes, as beautiful as gems, fell on her without focus. A pair of huge, furry ears, still showing their original color, twitched slightly.

What did this mean?

Was this a special way for wolves to greet their mates?

Or was he trying to show her that he was actually a handsome big bad wolf with beautiful silver-gray fur?

Ruan Qiuqiu was a little dumbfounded. She raised her head slightly, looked at Mr. Big Bad Wolf's scarred wolf face, and slowly revealed a slightly helpless smile.

"Can you see me better if I get closer?" Due to the cold and fatigue, Ruan Qiuqiu's lips were purple, and her voice was soft but clear.

The ribbon on her head was also blown askew by the fishy wind brought by her wolf husband, making her look very embarrassed.

Although her voice was a little shaky, there was no fear in it.

As if he was not some terrifying monster that made her afraid, disgusted, and terrified, but just an ordinary wolf demon who was about to become her husband.

How could she think he could still see? How could she think he just wanted to look at her? It was ridiculous.

He clearly wanted to kill her.

The wolf sneered in his heart. He felt that it must be because he didn't show it clearly enough that this human, who was indeed very good-looking, would have some unnecessary misunderstandings.

Just wait, when he bared his fangs and claws more clearly, she would definitely scream.

Thinking this, Mr. Big Bad Wolf slowly raised his front limbs, inch by inch, approaching Ruan Qiuqiu's neck, and slowly rested them on her shoulders.

His sharp claws, which could tear apart the skull of a proto-beast, were only a little bit away from piercing her fragile skin.

His demonic consciousness lingered in the air, and Mr. Big Bad Wolf waited for Ruan Qiuqiu to faint from fright in the next second.

But still, nothing happened.

Ruan Qiuqiu only felt her shoulders becoming heavy, and she felt the wedding dress she was wearing slipping down.

Next to Mr. Big Bad Wolf's huge wolf head, Ruan Qiuqiu lowered her head a little embarrassedly and pulled at her sleeve. "This is said to be a wedding dress. I don't know what kind of leather it's made of. Does it look bad?"

Author's note:

Now --

Mr. Big Bad Wolf: "I'm not interested in the disgusting act of mating."

Many years later --

Ruan Qiuqiu kicked a certain wolf off the bed: "Didn't you say you weren't interested in the disgusting act of mating?"

Mr. Big Bad Wolf: "……"
