Chapter 122: Great Prospects

Mr. Kang watched from the side. No wonder TV dramas and movies all love reconciliation. Once reconciled, the whole room felt relaxed.

Little Kangkang woke up and found himself wearing a red antler headband put on by his younger brother.

His younger brother was so childish. Little Kangkang took it off and looked at his parents and grandma. They seemed to have reconciled.

He was not familiar with his grandma and asked his younger brother in a low voice, "Have Mom and Grandma made up?"

"Yes, they have," Mr. Kang said.

He didn't feel left out here. After all, he and Little Kangkang were sitting in the corner, just listening to the adults talk, but it was also interesting.

The two big heads were next to the small heads, whispering--

"Then you don't have to wear a skirt to annoy her anymore," Little Kangkang whispered. He knew his younger brother didn't like wearing skirts.

"Brother…" Mr. Kang coaxed the little boy in a low voice, "Don't mention my wearing a skirt in the future."

Little Kangkang was very smart and could discuss it with him.

"You look good in a skirt, don't listen to their nonsense."

Mr. Kang thought it looked good too. Children wearing skirts, whether boys or girls, were very cute.

Mr. Kang thought about it for a while and then realized that the photos from the previous art evening that his violent mother had were retouched, but the photos from the school, because he cried all night and his eyes were red and swollen, the photos taken must be a little strange, and other children must have said something.

The interesting thing was that Little Kangkang thought they were talking about his younger brother, not him.

The two Kangkangs were whispering in the corner, and the adults on the other side finally finished talking.

Xia Sheng's mother, Li Zhaodi, also relaxed and was no longer so tense. She had deceived herself all her life, and for the first time, she saw it clearly.

Xia Sheng's grandmother gave birth to four daughters, and Xia Sheng's mother was the eldest. When something happened to her, her grandmother was first sent to her second daughter's house.

Xia Sheng's other aunts came over quickly.

A group of people saw Xia Sheng, stunned for a moment, then exchanged greetings, and then wanted to see Little Kangkang. They only knew that Xia Sheng had given birth to a son and knew that Xia Sheng was stubborn and had not been in touch for many years.

Of course, they praised Xia Sheng's son. "Is this Shengsheng's son? He's so handsome."

"He's the only son in our entire family, right? You can tell he's going to be promising, much smarter than those stupid granddaughters of mine."

Mr. Kang had never seen such a scene before. He was like a little nanny, holding the child and being surrounded by a group of people. He was stunned for a moment and looked to Yue Qin and Xia Sheng for help.

Xia Sheng almost exploded instantly. She had hardly let her child come into contact with anyone from her mother's side because she was afraid that her son would be instilled with a sense of gender superiority.

Xia Sheng was about to rush up in the next second when Yue Qin grabbed her hand, walked over, took the child, and said to the group of people, "Let's go order dinner first."

Mr. Kang, the big Kangkang, was naturally taken out as well. He didn't know much and asked in surprise, "Little Kangkang is the only boy?"

Yue Qin held his youngest son and saw his big eyes curiously looking in the direction of the ward.

He asked, "Dad, am I smarter than everyone else?"

The child was still young and didn't understand things like great prospects that would happen when he grew up.

Yue Qin touched his youngest son's head and began to understand Xia Sheng's previous considerations. He didn't want his son to have any sense of gender superiority either.

He was a man. It was okay when he was a child. When he was a child, the boys around him felt that they were stronger than girls. With the protection of their parents, there seemed to be no great harm.

But since he graduated, he had almost completely broken off contact with his high school and college friends after a few chats.

At first, he didn't quite understand why his friends, who used to play basketball and study hard with him, had all become arrogant, cynical, hated everything, criticized everything, and couldn't tolerate others being better than themselves.

At this moment, Yue Qin suddenly understood that many men had been instilled with the idea that they were superior, even unique, since childhood.

Yue Qin touched his youngest son's head and said, "Little Bao is very smart, but not compared to others, because everyone else is smart too. What your great-aunts said is wrong. Adults sometimes say the wrong things too."

"Then Dad, will I have great prospects in the future?"

"Everyone will have great prospects in the future, regardless of whether they are boys or girls."

Yue Qin held his youngest son. He hoped that when his child grew up, he would respect everyone's excellence.

"Like Fengfeng in your class, he can do somersaults. He has great prospects in somersaults."

Little Kangkang nodded.

Mr. Kang also nodded. Fengfeng in their class was very good at doing somersaults. Every time, the other children would watch with wide eyes.

"And Xiaoshiliu in your class, she also has great prospects. She can pick a small basket of mangoes in one go, right?"

Xiaoshiliu was the one whose grandmother had an orchard. She had posted a video in the group before. Xiaoshiliu picked a lot of mangoes in one go. Mr. Kang, an adult, was envious when he saw it.

Little Kangkang nodded and asked anxiously, "Then Dad, what do I have great prospects in?"

"You have great prospects in singing. You never sing out of tune, and you can talk to birds and understand what Mom and Dad say…"

Little Kangkang suddenly realized.

"Mom has great prospects in playing the piano, Dad has great prospects in cooking, and younger brother has great prospects in eating!"

Mr. Kang, a tough guy, looked up. If you didn't know, you would think he was his biological brother.

Xia Sheng, who was in a particularly bad mood, couldn't help but laugh when she saw this scene.

Yue Qin touched his youngest son's head: "There are enough great prospects in this world for everyone, whether they are boys or girls, people we like or dislike, they will all have their time to shine."

The big dad looked at his youngest son. He hoped that he would not be hurt by the excellence of others.

Little Kangkang nodded as if he understood.

Mr. Kang also nodded as if he understood. In fact, he didn't quite agree with this view--

He had read a lot of books himself, and always felt that wouldn't this weaken the child's competitiveness? After all, many things in this world were not enough, and you had to fight for them!

The big dad's view was too Buddhist and easy to suffer losses.

But he didn't say it. He thought he would tell Little Kangkang in private.
