Chapter 71: About the Secret

Mr. Kang used to think that nothing in this world could stop him, nothing could make him take a step back.

Mr. Kang used to watch TV shows where those in power, those who were more capable, would cower like a quail after making a small mistake. He thought it was unbelievable. You just fight back, what's there to be afraid of? At that time, he was still too young to understand the rules of the world, and didn't understand the guilt caused by emotions.

Mr. Kang was thinking that it wasn't very good to betray Little Parrot, and now he was caught red-handed.

Mr. Kang shrank in the corner by the door and whispered, "I can actually explain."

Little Kang Kang is a child with a temper. Mr. Kang felt it before. Every time he made him angry, he would get all puffed up and peck at your hand.

Mr. Kang closed his eyes and watched as his three older brothers got closer and closer. He still couldn't think of a reasonable explanation. After all, he still had a subconscious desire to improve his relationship with Big Daddy this way.

More than that, he wanted to show his loyalty to Big Daddy. Look, I didn't want to take over your son's body, and I didn't mean to steal his mom and dad.

Children without parents are always sensitive about this.

But these words couldn't be said to the children.

In the room, Mr. Kang faced an unprecedented punishment.

In another bedroom, Yue Qin had just fallen asleep when he heard someone calling him softly --

"Dad? Dad?"

Yue Qin struggled to pull his consciousness out of his sleep and saw a small head appear at the door again.

Yue Qin turned his head. His wife also turned over.

But fortunately, she wasn't awakened.

The same living room, the same sofa, the same opening line --

"Dad -- I know why my brother doesn't want you to recognize him!"

Yue Qin was stunned for a moment, and then a subtle expression appeared on his face. He pinched his arm. It wasn't a dream. Why was the scene repeating itself?

Mr. Kang was also desperate and said, "Dad, I was wrong before. My brother is not your child."

Yue Qin heard these words and felt a kind of loss that only children have. It seems that he couldn't predict the future, and it wasn't a scene replay.

He thought he had the ability to predict the future overnight, as long as he was happy.

Only then did Yue Qin notice that the child's hair was messy. He glanced at the children's room and lowered his voice, "Your brother found out?"

Mr. Kang nodded tragically.

Yue Qin's voice returned to its normal volume, "So it wasn't?"

Big Daddy then asked in a low voice, "Did they hit you?"

Mr. Kang said in a normal voice, "No, no, I was wrong."

Mr. Kang felt at that moment that he and Big Daddy were on the same team. He was actually a little frustrated. "They didn't hit me, but Little Parrot is angry. I guess he won't talk to me for the next two days."

Big Daddy touched his eldest son's head and said, "Brothers are like that. They won't really be angry with you. When I was young, your uncle and I fought until our heads were broken and blood was flowing, but no matter who had a problem, the other would always be there."

Mr. Kang asked, "To laugh at them?"

"Yes, to laugh first, and then to help."

Yue Qin looked at the children's room. The small door belonging to the bird was opened a little, and a parrot's head emerged from it.

Probably because he was discovered by his father, Little Parrot immediately retracted his head.

Yue Qin frowned, feeling a little uneasy. He said to his eldest son, "Wait for me here. I'll go in and talk to your brother."

Mr. Kang was really like the elder brother whose parents were going to talk to his younger brother after the two had a fight.

However, Mr. Kang only stayed outside for a while before he suddenly realized a huge problem --

If Big Daddy went to talk now, he would definitely have to talk about everything --

That would mean talking about being able to afford two children, talking about money, and since they were talking about money, they would definitely talk about salary.

Would Little Parrot blurt out that he was his boss?

As soon as this thought sprouted, it almost instantly turned into a ferocious vine, tightly clutching the child's heart.

Mr. Kang hurriedly pushed open the door to the children's room, but inside there was only Little Parrot and Big Daddy. The other two birds were gone.

Little Parrot was being held by Big Daddy. Obviously, they had recognized each other.

Mr. Kang awkwardly smoothed down his messy hair. "It's good that you two have recognized each other."

Little Parrot immediately flew up and said, "Dad, I'm still angry with my brother. I don't want to talk to him."

Yue Qin: "..." So he never realized that his son was angry before because his son couldn't talk at that time.

Little Parrot seemed to have remembered what had made him angry earlier, and his feathers puffed up again. He said angrily, "Dad, tell him, tell him that you can afford to raise two children."

"I won't convey that for you." Big Daddy rubbed his little son's head. "You two brothers can work it out slowly."

Mr. Kang breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that Little Parrot hadn't spilled the beans.

Big Daddy pulled his ADHD son down and put him in the bird's nest. "Dad has to go back to sleep."

Mr. Kang lay down on the bed himself and pulled up the quilt. He looked at Big Daddy over there.

Before leaving, Big Daddy looked at his son and was still reluctant to leave. He was obviously very happy to have found his biological son. He touched his little son's head and whispered, "Dad is very happy. You are a bird who can talk now. You can call me Dad."

"Dad --" Little Parrot called out proudly again. He was different from before. He was a bird who could talk now!

Mr. Kang lay on the bed, hugging the quilt. Suddenly, the quilt felt thick and heavy, not comfortable at all, not as comfortable as the quilt in his own home.

Big Daddy came over and pulled down the quilt that was covering his eldest son's head.

"Dad will make you shrimp wonton with thin skin tomorrow morning, with just a little bit of carrot in it." Big Daddy said earnestly.

Mr. Kang knew that the other party was thanking him for helping him find out why his son was reluctant to recognize him.

Mr. Kang nodded.

When Big Daddy left, the room was suddenly left with only the awkward duo of brothers.

In Mr. Kang's previous life, he would only break off relationships. All friends, other close relationships, once this kind of uncomfortable situation occurred, he would directly cut them off.

The room was very quiet, so quiet that he could hear the sound of two big birds coming out from under the bed.

Then he could hear the eagle and the owl flapping their big wings back to their nests.

Mr. Kang turned over and slept with his back to them. He felt a sense of grievance growing in his heart.

He did this for the good of the family.

Of course, he also admitted that he had his own little thoughts. He admitted that he did want to use these things to get closer to Big Daddy, to please Big Daddy, and also to use Little Parrot's secret to make Daddy understand that he didn't want to steal someone's parents. He was the one who was forced, so that Big Daddy would feel guilty and be nicer to him.

And every time he couldn't find a common topic with Big Daddy, he couldn't help but betray Little Parrot's secret...

For example, last time, in order to make Big Daddy happy, he told him that Little Parrot had already made friends, an eagle and an owl.

Uh, as Mr. Kang thought about it, he suddenly realized that he was really not a good brother!

At this time, a voice came from beside him --

"I know you don't want Dad to know that you are his boss. I didn't tell Dad."

Mr. Kang was stunned. He originally thought that even if Little Parrot accidentally said it, it must have been a slip of the tongue, not intentional.

Because Little Parrot was only a 4-year-old child, he knew too little.

"You... how did you know?"

"You are always scared, like when I was a child and did something wrong and was afraid of being found out by Mom and Dad." Little Parrot was a little unhappy. "I won't tell Dad your secrets, but you told Dad my secrets."

Mr. Kang got up and looked at this angry little parrot. He felt guilty and sad. "I promise you, I won't tell Dad your secrets anymore. I was wrong this time. I'm too old and I don't understand."

The eagle and the owl next to them finally stopped bristling.

"Forget it, I'll forgive you this time. But there absolutely cannot be a next time." Little Parrot was super easy to coax. He flew to his brother's hand and said happily, "We have another secret. This time it's our four brothers' secret. You absolutely cannot tell Mom and Dad about your second brother and third brother. They are both afraid of adults."

Mr. Kang: "..."
